Psychosocial Recovery Coaching in Illawarra

When mental health weighs on everyday life, having someone genuinely steady beside you can shift how manageable things feel. Psychosocial Recovery Coaching gives you practical support to make sense of your NDIS plan, work toward your goals, and take real steps toward the life you actually want. Across the Illawarra, our role is simply to walk with you, no judgement, no pressure.

We’re BB Disability & Mental Health Services, a registered NDIS provider based in Dapto, bringing experience in disability support, mental health, and social work. We support people across Wollongong, Dapto, Kiama, and the wider Illawarra.

Maybe you’re going through something hard right now, feeling cut off from the people around you, or trying to find solid ground again after a big change. Maybe you’re not even sure what you need yet, and that’s genuinely okay. Wherever you’re starting from, we listen for what actually matters and move at whatever pace feels right for you.

What Might a Week of Recovery Coaching Actually Feel Like?

A Look at What This Support Might Involve

Recovery never has to mean everything changing at once, and it’s okay if it feels slow. Sometimes it’s just one chat, one appointment, a small routine, or one goal that feels possible this week, and that’s enough.

A Look at What This Support Might Involve

  • Starting the week: A gentle check-in on how you’re really going, what feels heavy right now, and what might make the next few days a little softer.
  • Working through tasks: Making that call you’ve been avoiding, understanding a letter that’s felt confusing, getting ready for an appointment, or finally sorting support without doing it all alone.
  • Building routines: Sleep, meals, getting out the door, slowly finding a rhythm that helps your days feel less overwhelming.
  • Looking ahead: Talking through what you’re hoping for, reconnecting with people or things you love, and taking small, steady steps toward the life you want.

Recovery Coaching isn’t clinical treatment or counselling, and we’ll never treat it that way. It’s simply about your everyday life, your choices, and the practical things that genuinely help you move forward, one step at a time. Whenever you feel ready, say hello or make a referral and we’ll begin together.

What Makes Our Recovery Coaching Different in the Illawarra?

  • We’re a registered NDIS provider based in Dapto, replying within 2 working hours on weekdays and holding to the NDIS Practice Standards throughout.
  • We genuinely know the Illawarra, not just on paper.
  • Our background is in disability support, psychosocial support, and social work, lived experience of the field, not just training.
  • Mental health isn’t something we add on, it’s woven through everything we do.
  • Progress looks different for everyone, and we’ve never expected it to be tidy or fast.
  • We take the time to actually get to know what makes you feel safe and heard.
  • Recovery means whatever it means to you, and we shape our support around that.

You bring your own story, your own strengths, and your own hopes for what comes next, and that’s exactly where we start.

What Happens the First Time We Talk?

Reach out in your own time

Nothing needs to be certain before you do. A call to 1300 070 724 or a message by email is all it takes to begin.

Walk us through where things stand

What’s been weighing on you, what support already exists in your life, what you’d like to shift, all of it in whatever amount feels right to share.

Land on one starting point

From there we shape goals that feel achievable and genuinely worthwhile, a routine, a service worth connecting with, understanding your plan, or dipping back into community life.
However long it takes, that’s fine, reach out or make a referral whenever suits you.
