Getting out into the community can make a real difference to how your week feels. Community Access & Activities gives you support to spend time in places you enjoy, meet people, learn new skills and do more of the everyday things that matter to you. Across the Illawarra, we’re here to help you feel connected, confident and more at home in your community.
We’re BB Disability & Health Services, a registered NDIS provider based in Dapto. Our team brings experience in disability, mental health and social work, supporting people across Wollongong, Dapto, Shellharbour, Kiama and the wider Illawarra.
For some people, getting out means joining a group or trying a new hobby. For others, it might be taking a walk, visiting a familiar café, doing the shopping or having someone nearby at an appointment. There is no one right way to be part of your community. We’ll start with what feels comfortable for you.
What Could a Gentle Week Out and About Look Like?

Good support wraps around the life you already want, never the other way round. That might mean a hand getting to one activity a week, easing slowly into new places, or someone alongside you for everyday errands.
A Look at How a Week Might Feel
- Mornings: A slow start planning ahead, a run to the shops, an appointment, or coffee somewhere that already feels like yours.
- Weekdays: A local activity, time with a hobby you love, the library or a community space, catching up with a friend, or building confidence on a bus or train route.
- Afternoons: A walk, groceries, fresh air, or trying something new with someone close by.
- Weekends: Family time, a local event, something you genuinely enjoy, or simply a change of scene.
Funding for Community Access usually sits within your NDIS plan, shaped by your goals and what’s genuinely available. We’ll talk through what you’d love your week to feel like and how to get there gently, nothing complicated. Whenever you’re ready, say hello or make a referral and we’ll begin together.
Where Can You Actually Find Us Across the Illawarra?
We’re active in Wollongong, Dapto, Kiama, and right across the wider Illawarra. Whether you’d rather stay close to home, branch out a little further, or build confidence getting around, we shape this to fit you.
Community Access sits alongside everything else we offer, In-Home Support, Supported Independent Living, Specialist Disability Accommodation, Support Coordination, and Psychosocial Recovery Coaching. Getting more involved in your community can start with one of these settling into place first, worth talking through if that sounds like you.

What Our Families Say
Every story here comes from a participant or family we have had the privilege of supporting. We know it can take trust to let someone support you out in the community, and we take that responsibility seriously.
