What is Short Term Accommodation?

Short Term Accommodation (STA) offers a short stay at a BB Disability home for people with disabilities

Short Term Accommodation creates opportunities for experiencing a new environment, meet new people and make friendships and learn new skills. Our enabling and supportive accommodation and services will best try to meet your needs with your preferences.
STA/ Respite service helps the carers to take a break or when they are unable to provide care with peace of mind.
STA is offered 2 and 6 weeks a year and is available to take in any time of the year.

How to access My Short-Term Accommodation (STA)?

Short Term Accommodation is funded in your NDIS case plan under Core Supports-Assistance with Daily Life. You can request your support Coordinator to organise the STA or you can contact us directly.

What supports can I expect at my Short Term Accommodation?

Our homes can be as good as your home, we are constantly striving to match up to your expectations. You will be sharing accommodation with other members of our home and we make sure that you have a pleasant experience. Our warm and compassionate team makes sure that your stay is most comfortable with pleasant memories.

The supports include Daily personal care, transportation to your appointments (medical, allied health), social activities support, and assistance with meal preparation. We can also provide high-intensity care and support based on your needs.

Medium Term Accommodation (MTA)

What is Medium Term Accommodation (MTA)?

Medium Term Accommodation services provide safe and supported accommodation for people with a disability while waiting for a long-term accommodation/ housing option. In order to be eligible for MTA, you need to have an approved NDIS plan and a confirmed long-term housing solution. The MTA is usually funded for up to 90 days.

The services you can expect are the same as that of Short Term Accommodation.
