Looking into SDA for yourself or someone you love? We’re glad you’re here. We’re the team at BB Disability & Mental Health Services, a registered NDIS provider based in Dapto. Our leaders are senior social workers and mental health professionals, so the people supporting you understand both the physical and mental health sides of disability, including psychosocial disability.
SDA is NDIS funding for the home itself, a home built or set up for people with very high support needs. It’s separate from your everyday care funding. We help Wollongong participants move into our homes at Horsley, from checking if you’re eligible right through to the day you get your keys. This is home for us too, so we know the area well. We listen first, take our time, and the decision is always yours.
What SDA Actually Means for You

SDA pays for the home itself, not the everyday care you receive inside it. That part stays separate in your plan. Think wider doorways, reinforced walls that can hold a ceiling hoist, and space for an overnight support worker if you need one close by.
Not everyone qualifies, and that’s simply how SDA works. It’s for people with very high physical support needs, where standard housing isn’t safe or workable. There are four official categories, from Improved Liveability through to High Physical Support for the most complex needs, and both our homes are built with wide hallways, accessible bathrooms, and layouts shaped around the person living there. Have a look at our current SDA vacancies to see what that looks like in practice.
Where We Support You
Our homes serve participants right across Wollongong, the Illawarra, Shoalhaven and Southern Highlands, so if you’re not in Wollongong, chances are we’re already set up nearby too.
And SDA is just one part of what we do. We support the full range of NDIS services across each of these areas as well, so have a look and see what’s closest to you, or call 1300 070 724 and we’ll point you the right way. Here’s exactly where our SDA support reaches beyond Wollongong.

What Families Are Saying
