What Is SDA, Exactly?
SDA is a category of NDIS funding that pays for the physical home itself, not your personal support. It covers housing purpose-built or significantly modified for people with very high support needs.
Think wider doorways, ceiling hoists, reinforced walls, or on-site space for overnight support workers. When your home actually works for your body and your life, everything else gets a little easier.
Do You Qualify for SDA?
SDA is for people with very significant support needs who would face serious risk without purpose built housing. The NDIS needs to see extreme functional impairment or very high support needs, housing that creates risk to your health and that SDA is necessary for your goals.

SDA covers your home. Your other NDIS supports, like Supported Independent Living (SIL), In-Home Support, Support Coordination, and Psychosocial Recovery Coaching, work alongside it as separate funding.
